Feng Shui of House Numbers: it’s no accident!
January 21st, 2010 Posted in Feng Shui Tips
There are no accidents. You subconsciously choose your specific home for a reason. Apart from the energy patterns in the shape of your home, you can also look at the numerology of your house number you discover additional energies that are supporting you, and energy that’s there to provide the lessons you need. The more aware you are of the energies impacting you, the more you can intentionally use them to empower you on your journey through life.
Each vibration gives you what you need. Here you can discover the energy you were unconsciously attracted to when you chose your home, present and past. Used in conjunction with Feng Shui you have tools to use in choosing your next home.
How to calculate the numerology of your home:
Add each number and if the total is more than 9, add those numbers to get a number between 1-9. For example:
658 Knoll Street is a 1 vibration
6+5+8=19
1+9=10
1+0=1
1006 Wellington Road is a 7 vibration
1+0+0+6=7
If you have an apartment number and a street number, the apartment number will have the strongest impact, but both will influence you. For example:
#59-2520 Johnson Road. Your primary influence is a 5 vibration, and secondary is a 9 vibration
5+9=14
1+4=5
2+5+2+0=9
Below you’ll discover the energy each number represents. Have fun with this. The flow of energy in your home and the energy associated with your house number are important aspects of the big picture of your life.

Vicky, My apartment number is 2 and my building number is 1. I moved in with my husband, from whom I’m now separated. I see how the 2 numbers worked to challenge me/us, in that 2 is about relationships and 1 is about independence. My greatest challenge now is overcoming the oversensitivity I’ve had toward him, being more of a presence in the outside world (such as offering new workshops I’m developing) and completing my projects around the house as well as in my work. Thanks for this tip!

Hello Vicky: This article was truly amazing! My house number’s three energy hit the proverbial nail on the head, as I am strongly attracted to all of traits associated with it. I also face the challenge of scattered energies. Thank you so much for this!

Wow - this is amazing! We’ve been in this house (no 70) for 22 years now, raising our family of one girl 28, one boy 24. Our daughter moved out 9 years ago, our son still lives at home. I’ve had “itchy feet” for some time, wanting to sell the house and move on because it is really too large now and I’ve been finding all sorts of reasons why it wasn’t ideal. Now, reading this, I’m astounded! “Seven Energy: solitude, inner wisdom, contemplation, sanctuary, dreams, visions. Possible Challenges: difficult space to share with others, spiritual rather than material focus, “no one understands me”.
Suggestions: use your creativity to find like minded people “ they are out there.”
Yes - it’s been difficult to share with others - that’s why my daughter moved out so young I think. She and my husband don’t really understand me since I started walking this spiritual path (my son is much more open and I guess that’s why he’s happy to stay at home). Now I know why I’ve been looking to expand the circles I move in - I’ve just joined a book club, so that will be a good start. Amazing stuff Vicky! Thank you so much for bringing these ideas to us. Much appreciated.

Vicky, I’m mind-boggled by this article. My husband and I moved a year ago from a #7 house that we raised our large family in for 16 years. Even with all those people living there I felt solitude and there were many difficulties sharing that space. I did feel that no one “got” me.
We moved to a different home that is a #9 after I had spent a few years working on what I wanted out of both life and myself. The description you have fits me so perfectly as to where I am on my life path that I got chills reading it! Last night my husband basically explained to me that this year I wanted to be more decisive, follow-through with projects, and complete them.
This was just another validation for me on how right this house and move were for us.

Oops! I typed I when I meant HE wanted to complete things this year. (although that does fit me also.)

I’ve lived in this #9 house for a few years now.
I’ll have to think about how it all fits. but there certainly have been a few completions. daughter growing up and moving from home. me, quitting a long term job. my husband too!

A great article and clearly expressed. And I think that I really am experiencing just what the One energy brings. I do have a question though - since we live in a duplex, how do I deal with the fact that we are Unit 2 and our street number is 28. Is the unit number looked at individually? Somehow it doesn’t feel right to just total it with the 28…
Thanks for sharing your great insights with us.

@Yasha - I addressed this in the article above - the 2 is your primary influence - but they are both taken together - read the energy of both.

Funny, I just realized that my house number (31) is the same as my birthday, my husband’s birthday (13) and my son’s birthday (13). And my other son’s birthday is 4×2 (17). Wonder what that means!!

Hi Vicky, Actually in numerology, the street name is also added into the calculation. 658 Knoll Street would be the 8 vibration and 1006 Wellington Road would be a 5.

I should add that the easy way to calculate this is to grab a lined index card and turn it vertically. Begin numbering the columns 1 to 9. Follow this with the alphabet, beginning with a under the 1, b under the 2 — and next line would be j under the a, k under the b … until you end up with z as the last letter under the 8 column and one blank space. Use this chart to quickly jot your numbers and letters on a separate paper, going in a vertical line. You can easily sub-total the numbers, then Wellington, then Road and finally the total.
Hope this helps. It’s very interesting to see.
