20 Questions to Profoundly Impact your Life!
December 14th, 2009 Posted in Creating Change, Self Care
Each of us were impacted in some way by 9/11. I’ve just read a book by a woman who was in one of the buildings that was hit. After 9/11, questioning what she was doing with her life, she decided to unplug from the world for a year. She left her high paying, high flying corporate job and took off to Africa to volunteer. She never did go back to Corporate America.
For me, nothing quite so dramatic, but after 9/11 I did ask myself: if I had only one week to live, what would I regret not having done?
I immediately got the answer. For a few years I had REALLY wanted to swim with dolphins and each year it wasn’t convenient for one reason or another and I told myself I’d do it next year. What if there was no next year? I saw myself very clearly, on my death bed, regretting I had never made my dream important enough.
One month later I was in Costa Rica swimming with dolphins in the wild. And you know what? The money appeared, nothing in my life was too disrupted, and I had an amazing experience I’d been dreaming of for years!
I’ve become very aware of the power of questions. Today I’d like to share 20 of my favorite questions. Questions that have impacted my life profoundly. They’re great if you’re feeling a bit stuck, but will help move you along your chosen path at any time!
